This is a particularly dangerous disease, with high transmissibility and mortality rate (from 50 to 88%). The disease is classified in group A in the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases.
In order to actively prevent Marburg disease from occurring in Ho Chi Minh City, the City People's Committee requested the City Health Department to focus on closely monitoring people on entry, in the community and at medical facilities to detect suspected cases. suspected disease for epidemiological investigation.
Note that people entering from countries with epidemics in Africa must be isolated for 21 days.
At the same time, coordinate with related sectors to implement measures to monitor, detect and isolate suspected cases of Marburg disease in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Infectious Diseases.

As for dengue, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that in the first 2 months of the year, the number of dengue cases in HCMC increased by 1.47 times compared to the same period in 2022 (the whole country increased by 2.3 times). ). With the annual progress of dengue fever, the number of cases and deaths is likely to increase in the near future.
To proactively prevent dengue fever before the peak months of the year, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requested the City's Health Department to proactively advise on effective, feasible and sustainable disease control solutions.
